Terms of Use
Last updated 1 July 2026
These terms cover your use of NumPath — both the free maths diagnostic at numpath.com.au/start and the paid 6-week NumPath Pilot. By using NumPath you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@numpath.com.au and we'll explain.
Who runs NumPath
NumPath is operated by its Australian founders, Ben Hampton and Matt. NumPath is an educational tool, not a substitute for a qualified teacher or educational psychologist. All curriculum content aligns to the Australian Curriculum V9.
The free diagnostic
- Free to use, no account required, one child per session.
- We email a one-time strand-by-strand report to the address you provide at the end of the assessment.
- Results are a snapshot only. They are not a formal diagnosis and don't replace guidance from your child's teacher.
The paid pilot
- One-off payment. The pilot is a single AUD payment (GST inclusive) — no subscription, no auto-renewal, no stored card charges beyond the initial purchase.
- What's included. Access to 4 Year 4 mastery modules, video lessons, guided practice, and a weekly Sunday progress email to the parent.
- Access duration. Pilot access is provided for a minimum of 12 weeks from the date of purchase. During the pilot phase we may extend, adjust, or migrate the service.
- One family per purchase. A single payment covers all children within one household. Please don't share your login outside your family.
- Pilot changes. This is a pilot programme — features may be added, changed, or removed as we learn from early families. We'll always notify you by email of material changes.
Refunds
We stand behind the product. If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of purchase, email us and we'll refund in full — no forms, no questions.
After 14 days, refunds are handled case-by-case. Statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by anything in this section.
Acceptable use
- Use NumPath for your own family's learning. Don't resell access, scrape content, or attempt to reverse-engineer the platform.
- Don't upload content that's abusive, unlawful, or infringes anyone else's rights.
- We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. In practice this hasn't happened yet — we'd rather email you first.
Your account and your child's data
Parents create the account. Children use the platform under parent supervision. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and how we protect it, including your right to request deletion of all data at any time.
Our content
All lesson videos, question banks, scaffolds, and NumPath branding are owned by us. You're welcome to use them within your family for your child's learning; you don't have permission to redistribute, republish, or use them commercially.
Limitations
We take reasonable steps to keep NumPath available, accurate, and safe, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or specific outcomes for your child. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that can't be excluded under Australian law.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we'll email registered families. Continued use after the notice window constitutes acceptance. Older versions are kept on file — email us if you'd like a copy.
Contact and disputes
First stop for any issue is hello@numpath.com.au. We'll respond within two business days. If you're not satisfied, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (privacy matters) or the ACCC (consumer matters).
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
This is a pilot draft written in plain English. It has not been reviewed by an Australian lawyer. Before we scale beyond the pilot we will have a formal legal review.
